Tara is a Group Fitness Instructor and a Personal Trainer. I have been working in the fitness industry for 15 years. I am certified with NASM and LesMills in various programs. I have been involved in athletics my whole life. I was named “Athlete of the Year” in both Junior High and High School. I ran track, played soccer and was on the diving team. I was also involved in dance and collegiate cheerleading.
I have participated in many marathons, triathlons, road bike and mountain bike races. I know and understand what it takes to train and prep for races. I have coached and trained each of my children’s soccer teams, this was my athletic challenge, while being a stay at home mom. It provided the movement my body needed and the social outing my soul needed.
I continue to work in the fitness industry because I love my clients. I have made dear friends doing what I love, and I have found a huge support system through members. Simply put, I love the people! I also love to see them succeed and challenge themselves.
My fitness philosophy is to be fit, not skinny! I want to walk in a room and have people say, “she is fit”. I believe that a fit person is fit in all areas - cardio, strength and mobility. I believe in functional training, I also believe there are many types of training strategies that work. I like to train in circuits, mixing cardio and strength. I believe that women are stronger than they think they are. I would love to break the world’s view of womens bodies! My wish is that ALL women feel beautiful in their own skin!
If you want to be pushed, if you want your fitness level to increase, then come train with me. I train athletically and functional. I am practical in my approach and work on weak areas. I have a sports background as well and can train agility and sports specific strength.
